World Coconut Day - 2nd Sep 2013 [New Delhi]

The World coconut Day on 2nd September 2013 has been celebrated at the Auditorium of Vocational Rehabilitation Centre, for Handicaped (VRC) at Karkarduma, New Delhi . The programme has been inaugurated at 3 PM by Dr. Jinendra Kumar, Director I/C, VRC, Karkarduma by lightening the ceremonial lamp. Dr. G R Singh, Dy Director, CDB MDIC, Dr. KC Thomar, Asst Director, NHB, Shri.Jagat Ram Thakur, SREO other officials from CDB,NHB, CPWD, trainees, Enterprises, were also presented in the function.

15th World Coconut Day celebrated at New Delhi

Dr, Jainenedra Kumar expressed the gratitude to the Board for organizing a programme in such a place. Dr. G.R.Singh Dy Director delivered the aspects of importance, development and achievement of Coconut Industry in India with World Scenario. Dr, Tomar, AD NHB detailed the growth of coconut consumption in the North and the health and medicinal properties in human life.

The coconut Traders of Delhi like Mr. Rahul, from Rahul Enterprises, Mr.Ntin Goel from Thirupati Enterprises, Suresh From KLF Nirmal, Mr. Sajeesh from Nakshatra etc, were also presented in the programme. Tender Coconut Water and Snacks packets were distributed in the occasion.

An Exhibition display of coconut value added products and Board publications were also arranged during the function in the Auditorium hall.

About 150 participants consists trainees & instructors, from the institute including with disabilities, hearing impaired trainees, officials of the centre, General publics of the locality, families etc were also participated in this event. The VRC centre was arranged a prompter for translating the speech to these hearing impaired trainees.
